The set weighs 1.7 kg (3.7 lb). Percale is a plain over-under weave: one thread over, one under, which gives a crisp, matte surface that feels cool against the skin and gets softer with every wash. The count is 270 threads per square inch by the single-yarn method, which is the honest way to count and the reason the number is lower than the ones on many boxes.

All-around elastic on the fitted sheet, a 4 in top hem on the flat sheet, and envelope-back pillowcases. Woven and sewn in Portugal from 100% long-staple cotton.
